Tropical Chic Works Well With Tropical Oasis

Hello Stampers ~ Check out my Tropical Chic Works Well With Tropical Oasis creation.

I am headed home today.  It will be good to get back to my own home.  I have a long list of things to accomplish before I have to leave again.  I also have several appointments I made.  I will also catch up on my sleeping.  I don’t look forward to the long drive home.  I am hoping the traffic will be light so I don’t have to deal with that.  I know Bijou is ready to be home as she wants it to be quiet also.  We will enjoy our quiet time before we come back.

I wanted to play with some of the new designer series paper share I got with the new trimmer.  I saw the Tropical Oasis designer series paper that I got.  One of the patterns was tropical leaves with Bird of Paradise flowers.  I thought the leaves looked like the leaves in the Tropical Chic set so I decided to create my card using those 2 products.  I chose the colors from the designer series paper.  I stamped the 2 large leaves using Old Olive and Pretty Peacock ink.  I then added some dots using Grapefruit Grove.  I mounted the stamped panel onto a Pretty Peacock card stock.  The designer series panel was mounted onto a piece of Grapefruit Grove.  I took the designer series panel and mounted it onto a Whisper White card base.  I then took the stamped panel and mounted it on the right hand side of the card base using dimensionals.  It needed a sentiment so I stamped it using Pretty Peacock and mounted it onto Pretty Peacock card stock.    The sentiment panel was then added to the upper left corner of the card base using dimensionals.  Here is the completed Tropical Chic Works Well With Tropical Oasis creation.

There are some great sets in the annual catalog.  The Tropical Chic set is very versatile.  Here is an idea that uses some of the dies.  This idea uses those leaves as a background.  I loved using this frame with the flowers from the set.
